Attention Instructors! Please read before requiring for your class.

This book has so many errors! It is unbelievable that it is in it's 8th edition. It is so cluttered with nonsensical garbage it is virtually worthless. I am confident the only person that can make heads or tails of the examples, chapter problems, etc., is the author. I am a 4th year engineering student and have never had a problem with a book before and/or felt the need to leave a review. This book is in a class of its own and deserves a special place in a landfill. I have spent/wasted so much time trying to figure out problems only to later find out that there is yet another error in the book it is truly unbelievable. This book is a total waste of money and any instructor that uses this book definitely didn't do his/her due diligence prior to requiring it. Very disappointing. The "About the Author" section says that JP Holman graduated with a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. Somebody should check into this and/or the college's accreditation! He definitely missed some technical writing classes and has never been introduced to the ethos of "attention to detail".
The only reason I gave this book a 1 star review is because you can not leave a 0 start review!
I will not be willingly purchasing any other book authored by J.P. Holman.

problems dont match text.

I dont often review textbooks, but this one was extra lame. The homework problems were so different from what the text contained that I often thought I might be looking in the wrong chapters. I like to keep my textbooks, but this one is so poor I sold it.
